What are the concerns of today's parents? How involved are you in your child's education? What tools do you use to continue learning at home?

As far as I know.... Parents were always and continue to be concerned abt thier child's education. They pay any amount of loan just to see their child getting the best of education... if i had a child I wud definetly spend a lot of my time teaching my kids ... it cud be in any source , books, journals, Internet...etc, as far as being involved... like i said i wud give my 100% for my child's education

Ummm, I like how my parents were involved. They put us through different schools depending on how much they can afford. The better they did in their careers, they started moving us to better schools. Unfortunately, we got spoilt at home too with tutors (twice a week) to make sure we get our school work done. We also had an Islamic teacher come in once a week to lecture us about Islam (nothing to do with School) - just teaching us how to read the Quraan and understand it. On Fridays, my mom would make us read the Quraan before prayers time. During the week, my mom would make sure I got all my homework done, and she would make sure it's all correct.
I think there's no better investment than education investment for children both emotionally and choosing the right schools. Most important thing though, is the child's attitude. Children can be molded by their parents, so it's crucial that the parents develop a proper positive attitude for the child to follow.
