Then if i get a visa , can i find a job ? I worked for BMW in th uk for 1 year as marketing executive and bodyshop admin

And i heard u need to wear clothes covering your arms and legs ,how can u do that in that heat ????? And i got loads more qustions , im a bit worried about everythng really , i mean i suppose i will like it there but im still worried haha

Thanks everyone

You can wear what ever clothes you want - you dont need to cover up, but it's recomended in some situations, and when you visit the interior. You can cover up in the heat because the Abaya is very lightweight and can be worn with little else! A friend of ours who used to live in Jeddah confessed that she used to go out in her bikini and just her abaya on top!

Finding work may proove difficult. Omani's dont like handing out visa's to people to work here that dont have a degree - they can just find an Omani to do the job.

Having a red passport probably means you can get a visa on arrival, but just to be sure, check on the ROP website, or with the Omani embassy in London.

2300 + 1000 + car = good.

I guess you can just come to Oman, by getting a on arrival visa and then when you find a job just transfer your visa to an emplyment visa for your company. Remember you cannot stay in Oman without a sponser, the only different rule applies to people holding a passport from certain countries for specified visa types. More info : http://www.rop.gov.om/english/dg_passport_visas.asp
Hope you find something usefull.
