With racism plaguing America like an incurable cancer, the so-called Christian white American heart should be more receptive to a proven solution to such a destructive problem. Perhaps it could be in time to save America from imminent disaster the same destruction brought upon Germany by racism that eventually destroyed the Germans themselves. [/color]
I moved this from beauty of the hajj, because I thought it was inappropriate to praise one culture, only to be lied about in a response.
There is no racism plagueing America. That writer is far off kilter. Anyone living in this society, can see that there are employers, employees of every race. I have no qualms about working for women, men, blacks, hispanics, asians, ME's, makes no difference, and others are the same.
It seems odd that a society that blasts hindus, jews and westerners could say such a thing. Pretty hypocritical. You're nice for a couple of weeks, and killing each other a week later.

Not to speak of a heart that only bleeds when he sees muslim immigrants being discriminated against.
As if all the other non muslims do not exist or have no value or are, in the final reckoning, not all children of the same God.

I believe that post was quoting an interview from Malcolm X, regarding his hajj to Mecca.
However, I do believe people harp too much on racism in America as if it existed only here and no where else in the world.
What I find cosmically hilarious is how some members on this board condemn the "racist U.S" and then turn around and espouse the ideas of Khilafah. Which in fact used discrimination, but for religious purposes. It's all the same thing. To pretend it isn't, is to embrace ignorance.

If it was Malcolm X, then he ws correct of the state at that time. But that was the south mainly. Not the north or west where the bad racism was centered.

i didn't post the Malcolm X letter to "lie" about america, i posted it to show what transformed him from being a rascist white hater.
You were giving praise to the magnificent event of Hajj, and i was showing an example of someone's experience there.
it is in hajj that islam displays its beauty of racial and social harmony. a king can't be distinguished from a peasant during the hajj, they are all equal. Both men and women perform the same rituals wearing the simple white cloth in complete worship of the one God.
I have read about it but i have never experienced it, next year God willing i will be performing the Hajj.
as for speakeasy, just because my heart burns for the my muslim brothers doesn't mean i dump the rest of the human race into the trash can. why would you get such a silly idea like that. As muslims we are not here for the sake of ourselves, we do things for the pleasure of our creator to seek his forgiveness and favor... and implementing quran and sunnah in our lives is the method which we have to carry out our daily lives. And one of the responsibilities is to be compassionate towards other human beings, not just to muslims but to all who surround us. You see when we bow down to God 5 times a day that doesn't mean our duty is over. Every single human action could be a worship to God... If i remove an obstruction from the road so that another wouldn't be hurt by it, with the intention to seek God's pleasure, it is a form of worship. When i direct a lost person to his destination, this is another act of worship. When i write on this forum, i don't seek mental pleasure, i do it as an act of worship to speak out against injustice and to spread the message of islam for the sould purpose of seeking pleasure of God.
I truly care about the people in america, i don't curse the people, i curse the government who carry out injustice in the name of its people.
and yes we are all God's creatures, and i respect the property and honor of non-muslims who haven't done any harm to me or my brothers/sisters.
a haitian person whom i work with, who is a part time philosophy student, was very curious about islam and politics. after many discussions and debates, God has put islam into her heart. She did the fast of Ramadhan this year, may God accept it.
When i see the many glum faces of americans, i can see the tiredness and frustration in their eyes from trying to make it paycheck to paycheck to live a comfortable lifestyle with many luxuries that they can't afford. Just go on the train in any metropolitan area in USA and you will see what i'm talking about. i feel sorrow for their souls and i wish that i could speak with each one of them for the pleasure of God.
my emotions sometimes get the better of me, i'm not perfect, and sometimes my tone can be taken as insulting and condescending, etc etc, but i guess thats my personality at times. I don't wish harm to the innocents of any country, or any religion.
when the prophet(pbuh) went to a neighboring territory to give the message they stoned and mocked him. He left the vicinity with his sandals filled with blood and God offered by way of angel Gabriel to bring down the mountain upon the village and destroy it, and the messenger(pbuh) said no, not to because the progeny of its inhabitant might be believers.
in this same spirit i pray for guidance for those and their progeny who today reject the message of islam.
