How to find out Ray-Ban Glass is original?

I don’t know why rates are difference in <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1>place</st1></st1:country-region>. Is it any quality difference or dublicate?

I have purchased 2 pairs of Polarized Ray Bans in recent years, one pair I purchased at the LULU (Bowsher) branch. You can check that a Ray Ban pair of Sunglasses are original by the following:

1. New (post 1998) Ray-bans are made in Italy. Bausch & Lomb USA stopped making the Ray-Ban sunglasses range back in 1998, so sunglasses that have the markings Ray-Ban USA and claim to be models from after 1998, will not be genuine Ray-Ban. The Ray-Ban brand is now owned by the Luxottica Group.

2. The new Ray-Ban aviator range has the markings Ray-Ban Italy UNDER the top adjoining bar on the sunglasses. Markings that are over the bar are considered fakes. Also the sunglasses should have markings on the left arm, usually the same Ray-Ban Made in Italy/ Ray-Ban Italy.

3. The new etching for Ray-Ban sunglasses is a small RB on the left lens (the lens opposite the one with the Ray-Ban written logo).

4. Since when has anything designer been wrapped in plastic? I have never seen a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses in any style, made in the USA (pre year 1998) and made in Italy that have been wrapped in plastic. When you buy Ray-Ban, you get a black leather case, that comes in a cardboard box with a warranty and micro-fibre lens cleaning cloth, which is usually either red or silver.

Khimji's had 30 to 50% off on all Ray-Ban sunglasses during Muscat Festival. I bought one at half-off just last week.

I remember back when Ray-Ban was owned by Bausch and Laumb they used to cost no more than 45 rials, and Khimji's would give 20% off throughout the year, going up to 30 or 40% off during sales. Then Luxottica bought the brand and slowly started to increases the prices while at the same time reducing the quality of the materials used. The glasses used to have real metal frames and glass lenses. Now they are all made with platic frames, even the "metal" frames use metalized plastic. And the lenses are now mostly easily scratched plastic whereas in the past Ray-Bans used to be scratch resistant. Now, even on 50% off, the pair I bought last week cost me RO. 40.

It is in Ruwi. If you know how to get to Ruwi Cinema, Take the right turn just past where the Ruwi Cinema used to be and you will come to a small R/A at which you take the right and you will see the big building that houses KMT. Usually crowded.
