You have got to be kidding! This is not fair! What happens to my warranty? Could you please post that e-mail here?

Johnson would be the next best tint either way

May be you can email asking about your warranty because they dont even have any in UAE. Mail below. How much would johnson cost for civic?

    Dear Sir,

Thank you for your interest and enquiry on getting Hüper Optik window film for your Honda Civic in Muscat.

Unfortunately the Hüper Optik distributorship in Muscat, Oman has ceased. We will contact you again when a new authorized distributor or dealer has been appointed in Muscat.

    Regards,

    Steven Teo

I have used 3M on my car since 2009 and I am happy with the results. There is a mark difference between a car with and without tints.

The Crystalline tints are quite good.

I paid like 230 Rials for a 4 door sedan.

I will check out all three Johnson, Mr. cool and 3M, but 3M looks to be costly is it Metallized or Ceramic?

Yeah the crystalline is really good. Great numbers! I may have got them if they weren't so pricey. Used the money I saved for power mods in my car

    Hello Everbody,

I checked out the following for my honda civic:

    1) Mr. cool - the guy at the shop spoke well but had ne tests or brochure to give details, just said two films are available one is german (unknown brand) and american (sungard). He showed the usual bulb test german was looking better in reducing heat and he told 85 if put on windshield and sungard 30% for side and rear. 135 for full car with german film. 75 for full sungard. 1 year warranty

    2) Johnson - The guy at workshop showed some small brochures and i checked for insulator he did not know about ceramic stuff, but finally showed the brochure IR70 for windshield and rear, IR 30 for windows. cost 150. lifetime warranty.

    3) VKOOL - I was really surprised with the sales guys in vkool they have very little idea about what they are selling, they just showed some stuff claiming 99% heat reduction for 324 after discount 290. They dont even know whats on their own website. Got a feeling that vkool is just hype nothing else.

    4) NANOLUX - Next to vkool, i think it is about to close down. But i asked for the rates they gave 100 for the best one no idea what it means SPL something. 5 yrs warranty.

    5) Solargard - Combination not sure if it is Quantum and Supreme costing 140. 5 yrs warranty.

By the time i reached 3M and Llumar were closed both yesterday and day before.

99% heat reduction? I would've lol'ed at his face. Truth is most people in Oman don't know what good tint is and the tech behind it. They just know what other oblivious people are getting on their cars - namely "V-kool". Its a shame really that great companies like Huper Optik have to shut down due to lack of business. But, then again their shop WAS in a really stupid place.

The other day I sat in a friends car with the 300 rial V-Kool. The difference between the inside and outside of his car was minimal, and I could still feel the heat. Huper on the other hand is like night and day.

Consumers in Oman are largely ignorant and this sort of false marketing works well here. This is why you actually see genuinely better companies/products disappearing when they don't false market while those that bulls*** prosper.

Agree with Assasin the location was not good but did we ever see any marketing done by Huper? What happened to your warranty Assassin?

I found a very good article on explaining TSER.

Hey Assasin, is the spec below allowed by ROP?

Tint w/ TSER : InsulatIR 30 all windows (TSER 61%) . InsulatIR 60 on windshield (TSER 41%) - Tints are ceramic
