I need some genuine & practical advice about living in Oman.
This is my situation:
I am planning to move to Oman with my family either in January or September 2012. I am applying for teaching jobs in British/International schools in Muscat, Sur and Salalah.
I am an Italian national, resident in UK (for 6years) married to a British woman and father of two kids, born in UK.
Currently, I am working as a KS3-KS5 Science/Biology teacher in a public school in Wales. I've got a Master's Degree in Natural Sciences (obtained in Italy) and a PGCE (obtained in UK).
These are my questions:
-How's life in Oman for young kids (under 5yo)?
-With my qualifications, would it be easy finding a good teaching job?
-What salary/package should I go for?
-Would it be feasible saving £1000 a month?
-Do teaching jobs offer housing&utilities allowances in the package?
-Any advice about good schools or the ones to avoid?
-My wife is a legal exec (no degree). Any jobs in the sector? Salary?
Your help is much appreciated...
