Frankly speaking, women shouldn't go to mosque since they get the same credit either doing it at home or at the mosque. A good practise for women should be a simple gathering at either homes or specific places and share the knowledge of Islam. There Islamic Hadith(stories)that they could share, reading Quran and the meaning that they could share and teach each others the best way forward Islam.

I could see that some women would love to go and here what's discuss during the pray but the same is now can be heared in TV and radio.

Reason why I am against women attending the mosque is simply because some women do not follow the rules!!. As you know, they too attend the same mosque as men but only different sitting area, you will see many women walking beside men going to the mosque but they aren't wearing decent cloth, i.e. not properly covered or simply covered with Abaya but a transparent one can allow you to see them wearing trousers showing their bodies!!. Now, don't cross me on this coz my eyes don't have curtains!!!. OK, I tried not to look at them by saying few words and walking away but it is always too late.

Just keep woman at home and let us do what we are supporsed to do!!. Thank you.

if feels totally different when you do your prayers in a mosque..sometimes i do taraweeh prayers in the mosque and its just a feeling u get deep inside...more relaxed and closer to god.when i do the sijood i feel like i dont wanna even get up..u feel so fresh when u get out...not the same feeling when u do it at home..and i am sure women get more credit when they do their prayers in a mosque...every step you take to do something for islam u get credit ...correct me if i am wrong
ur right about some women not dressing properly when they go to the mosque..they should respect the place they are going too..if they cant they might as well stay at home

Why should a woman's freedom be curtailed? When a person goes to prayer is it SO HARD to focus on GOD and not on a human being? Besides, if a woman is properly covered because the man cannot bear to look at her then what is the problem??????????

women aren't prevented from going to mosque, however it is RECOMMENDED that she do her prayers at home for practical reasons, not to curtail her rights to worship.

My God Shaq you must be obsessed with women!! All your topics are about women and women only! Anyway, thank you for your very good topic even though as usual it’s about women!

All I can say why not, let the women decide for themselves if they want to go to pray at the mosque or not. Of course it is not necessary to do so and her home and children should be the priority, but suppose if it is Ramadhan and she wants to pray and she has the time to go to the mosque, then why not? As Nirvana mentioned that:

if feels totally different when you do your prayers in a mosque

I also think praying with a group of other women you will get 27 times the credit than alone at home. Also of course praying in Mecca or Medina mosques is something else. I think you get credit in thousands times than praying alone. However, there is a difference of thought between Ibadhis and Sunnis in this matter.

By the way, all the women I saw going to the mosque dress decently and according to Islamic rules and not as the way you mentioned.

Women and children are a priority but so is her soul. I think if a woman makes that extra effort to pray at the mosque it is noticed. For me a man or woman can pray anywhere. God is everywhere.

[OT]I think the orignal topic is to do with women who decide to go to the mosuqe for the extra thawab, yet they go to get that extra thawab while wearing indecent clothing. What the heck is thier point?![/OT]

I haven't seen any woman at the mosque wearing indecent clothing. I think it is something which Mr. Shaq made up! All the women I have seen wear Hijab when they go to the mosque.

OK, believe me or not, that is up to you but these women wear the veil, hijjab etc but the black cloth they wear as you know now a days are so light that you can see what cloth a woman has wear. To make it worse, these women wear trousers which is visible through those black net cloth. Then they don't close the front buttons letting the air blows the net and there you see a smart woman walking into the mosque.. Actually, these practise has indeed attracted young stars visiting the mosque, you'll see a lot of young stars sitting or standing where these women would normally pass, then they will enter the mosque. Soon before they pray ends the young stars are out waiting to watch the devils passing!!!.

And I suppose Mr. Shaq you are one of the 'young stars' who watch the women pass by into the mosque, since you know all the details of their clothing instead of concentrating in going into the mosque to go to pray.

Yes, I have been there few times, no BIG deal! but those days I counted as my pray didn't do well. At the same time I put the blame on those creatures....

the ultimate blame lies upon you because you can avert your gaze and concentrate on your prayers which is one thousand times more important than some pretty gal. It is all about discipline.

Women have the full right to attend mosques if they wish, but for instance, they are not required to go to Friday prayers as men are required.

But in my opinion, it is very important for OUR TIMES that a woman goes to the mosque so she can strengthen her faith along other men. In Friday prayers also, there are some important speeches spoken, and it could benifit the women very much. At our days, the faith of a muslim is much week considered compared to the days of prophet Mohammed (SAW) and his companions (sa7aba).

So my advice for the muslim women out there, try to attend friday prayers for learning more about Islam and if you feel that you strength of faith increases when you go to mosques for normal prayers, then just go!
